You’ll need to review these two photos (as well as the schematic on the next page) to determine the best way to build your BLINKIE.  The photo on the left illustrates Ned’s very neat wiring, as seen from the bottom of the vector board.  There is not much of a critical nature here, except remember that the CK722s should not be installed until all the soldering has been completed to the transistor sockets.  The photo above is a side view of the “transistor end” of the Vector board.  You can see one of the blue CK722s mounted in its socket.  The resistor (on the right) is one of the 100 ohm resistors shown in the schematic and the large black item in the middle is one of the 47uF electrolytic capacitors.   Ned used 1 watt 100 ohm resistors and ½ watt for the 47K timing resistors.  The capacitors are rated at 25V.  These values are all commonly available, but substitution with what’s “on hand” is part of the fun.
