Historical Background
The CK718 is historically
important because it was the first transistor to be produced in large
quantities for commercial applications.
Raytheon introduced the CK718 in late 1952 to maintain its
leadership position with hearing aid manufacturers (first established with
Raytheon submini vacuum tubes).
The CK718 was produced only from 1952 through 1955 and represents a
unique and important milestone in the history of transistor technology. Your CK718 has been tested and will
